When to choose GIF

Choose GIF when you need broad compatibility in chat apps, forums, comments, or places where short video uploads are inconvenient. GIFs are easy to preview but can become large if the image is detailed.

When to choose video

Choose video when you want smoother motion, smaller files, or a social media format such as 1:1, 4:5, or 9:16. Browser support varies, so PuruPuru Maker falls back to GIF when video export is not available.

Aspect ratio choices
